Hi there, this is Nanxin. I’m Nanxin Zhao, though most people call me Peter. I’ve been working as a product designer in San Francisco, CA.
I am a hybrid product designer. I believe all innovation begins and ends with people. By deep under-standing and caring observation of users, I always design based on curiosity, objectivity and empathy.
I'm passionate about the messy process that drive understanding, that power ideas, that craft vision, that are in turn validated, that eventually implemented.
My earliest memory of this passion originated back to my childhood. I didn't like to play toys based on the manuals or instructions. I loved taking them apart, figuring out the patterns or mechanisms, and creating something new out of it. I still remember my mom yelled at me when I broke all the new toys and make a mess in the living room.
Now being a design generalist, I come with a wide range of skills that allow me to think from different perspectives, solving problems in a systematic and strategic manner. Start with careful investigation into user behavior; I identify patterns and frame the problem statement for possible solutions; I follow with creative thinking and feature priorities to translate my research into actionable insights.
Stay Foolish
Outside of work, I still want to keep creative. I enjoy taking photographs, producing short films, and creating small art pieces. I love exploring new vibes and creative communities.
Life is short and I want to enjoy it while it lasts.
